My first channeling experience as a medium happened spontaneously with the wind in a sweatlodge ritual. It was a life-changing experience and you can read more about it furterdown. Since then I experienced a holistic, authentic and thorough education as a medium through my work with international shamans from various traditions. How I became a medium through a life-changing experience. At the beginning of a sweatlodge ritual suddenly the wind came into me. From one second to the next, I was only wind. The wind spoke in its own language through me, it totally filled me out, it surrounded me - I was the wind while my own ME stood beside myself and watched. The sweatlodge ritual had four rounds into each wind direction north, east, south and west. In each wind direction the wind had a different quality and I experienced them all very precisely. The wind has different powers, from very gentle to a hurricane. It also has its own voice. I remember very well that I thought several times “This is not me”. In the sweatlodge it was very hot and the wind blew with full strength, but the wind provided lots of energy for my physical body so that I didn’t get tired or collapsed. Only when the ritual was fulfilled in all four directions, the wind subsided. But, nevertheless, it has never left me and has been part of me since then and all its voices in its various facettes are always with me. I can call the wind so that it comes into me and speaks through me or I can call it and talk to it like a friend.
This experience made a lasting impact on me. I can definitely say that inside myself many things have changed since then. By feeling and experiencing this enormous natural power inside myself, in my own body and through direct communication of this power at the same time, where my own ME steps aside and watches, my perception, perspectives and viewpoints of anything material and immaterial have drastically changed. The wind has a long breath. My physical condition is neither of an athlete nor of a musician - both professions where lots of breath is needed. But the wind sometimes blows so hard and long, that I stand next to it wondering how such intensity of air is coming out of my lungs. It’s not me, it can’t be me, I don’t have so much air in my lungs. It’s the wind that makes use of my body to express itself and to bring valuable information to individuals and to the community. I’m happy to provide my body for this task. Those who’ve heard the wind once and felt its presence will never forget it. It has a lasting effect.
The shamans gave my lots of opportunity in their rituals to practice and let the qualities of the wind speak through me. I’m very thankful for that.
